Terms & Conditions

Sponsorship

If your employer is sponsoring you, ensure that the Company Sponsorship is completed with a purchase order and sponsor's signature. The sponsorship agreement is subject to its own terms and conditions stated in the 'Employer's Authorisation' statement.

Fees

Fees or a deposit must be paid before the commencement of a module.

Course places are not guaranteed until payment is received.

The college reserves the right to inform the awarding body of non-payment of fees. A qualification cannot be awarded if fees are outstanding.

For CIM qualifications, fees are exclusive of textbooks, and CIM membership and assessment fees.

The Australian College of Marketing ('the college') reserves the right to change its fees from time to time. Latest fees are quoted on our website and will be the fees charged at the time of enrolment.

Direct Debit Contracts

Please note that Direct Debit Contracts have their own Terms and Conditions stated separately on the agreement.

Withdrawal

You must inform the college in writing within ten calendar days from your date of enrolment and before the qualification commencement date.

A refund of fees paid, less an administration fee of $400, will be issued if the request is received within ten calendar days of enrolment, provided this is also before the qualification commencement date.

If you fail to notify Australian College of Marketing of your withdrawal request within ten calendar days of enrolment, and before the qualification commencement date, you will be liable to pay the full fee.

Qualification fees paid in full are non-refundable after the commencement date of the first module.

Module fees paid in full are non-refundable after the commencement date of the module.

Deferring

If you wish to defer a module, then this must be made in writing 21 calendar days before commencement of the module.

Any deferment made after the stated times will result in fees being non-refundable and payable in full.

A fee of $200 for each module will be levied if you wish to defer a module to the next available start date.

It is expected, however, that qualifications will be completed within a 'reasonable period' from the date of commencement. The 'reasonable period' is defined as no longer than double the time required to complete the qualification without any breaks between modules or extension of any module's study period.

Retaking a module

Students who fail an assessment, but have completed the required study for the module and wish to retake it are liable for 66% of the full module fee. Eligibility for this reduced fee is at the discretion of the college.

Students who do not complete the required study for a module and wish to retake it are liable for 100% of the full module fee.

Commitment to study

You must make every effort to complete all set course work, to submit assignment work, and to submit preparatory work for examinations.

The college reserves the right to decline submission of an assignment deemed below the required standard to pass. The college also reserves the right to prevent a student from sitting an examination if they are inadequately prepared.

CIM membership

If studying a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification, you are responsible for ensuring that you are a member of the CIM and for registering for the correct assessment by the appropriate deadline. The college accepts no liability for students who miss registration deadlines.

(Note that there are no membership or assessment fees associated with DMA or UCI qualifications.)

General

The college reserves the right to change the tutors, dates and venues at any time.

To the best of our knowledge, all information is correct at the time of going to press. The college reserves the right to amend its policy from time to time.

When you make your first payment towards your course, you are accepting the terms and conditions of studying with the Australian College of Marketing.
