Emma Blackburn: Principal
Emma has had a long and successful global career in Marketing. Before moving to education and training, Emma was a Marketing Manager specialising in B2B marketing in the telecoms industry. She has worked at the coalface with large multinationals in the UK and Australia, including Fuji-Xerox, Epson, Texas Instruments, British Telecom, Hospira, Telstra and Queensland Health.
With over 20 years in marketing and education, Emma teaches with passion and first-hand experience. She has taught and developed marketing programs at Oxford Brookes University in the UK, Swinburne University and the Australian Institute of Management.
Alison Cheeseman
Alison is a highly experienced marketer and educator having taught marketing at universities in both the UK and Australia. She has also been a senior examiner for the CIM and an external examiner for marketing programs at Manchester Metropolitan University.
After many years in marketing, Alison successfully combined her expertise with a passion for teaching, dividing her time between roles as Marketing Director and Marketing Lecturer.
As well as teaching CIM, Alison is currently working towards a PhD investigating the role of music in advertising.
Anita Rigoni
Anita has over 25 years experience as a trainer in Leadership and Management, Cultural Change and Project Management. Her industry experience ranges from manufacturing and mining to banking and finance. Anita is well known for her ability to bring a balance between theory and practitioner's experience to her teaching and consultancy projects.
The clients Anita has worked with include Coles Myer, Westpac, Adelaide Bank, Department for Trade and Economic Development, and Bureau of Meteorology.
Dick Shambler
Dick brings a wealth of international marketing experience to our CIM qualifications. During his 20 years at IBM Dick's roles included International Business Manager with responsibility for Scandinavia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Spain. This is along many years experience of marketing consultancy for the likes of AstraZeneca and Marks & Spencer.
Since leaving the cut and thrust of the corporate world, Dick has taught marketing courses and CIM qualifications in many locations around the world. He has delivered marketing workshops in Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur - to name but a few - and taught CIM qualifications in the UK, Poland and Australia.
Kerin Brearley
Kerin has extensive experience as a marketing lecturer at university and TAFE level. She currently lectures on RMIT University where she teaches on the Masters of Advertising and is the first-year coordinator.
Kerin started her career in fashion retail marketing. She has ten years experience in managerial positions at Esprit - as National Children's Wear Wholesale Manager - and at Portmans and Sussan Corporation as Advertising and Marketing Manager. At Sussan Corporation, Kerin managed a $3 million budget and was responsible for all internal communications and external promotion for a chain of 150 stores in Australia.
